12 Drive-In Theatre Cult Classics

Great bargain
I just bought this 2-DVD set at Kmart for only $5.00. It's a great bargain, considering it contains 12 low-budget horror movies from the 1950s, most of which made an appearance on the old "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" TV show, screened as bad movies for some laughs.

The films in this set with the best production values are probably "The Crawling Eye" and "Invaders From Mars". "The Killer Shrews", "The Screaming Skull", "The Wasp Woman" and Ed Wood's "Bride of the Monster" really aren't bad stories and can be fun to watch, although they all have deficiencies with special effects, some with poor acting. I'm surprised modern Hollywood hasn't considered remaking a few of them with a higher budget.

The prints used for the DVD transfers of all the films in this collection are not the best available on the market either, but are generally acceptable, and overall it's a nice package at a rock-bottom price. There are a couple films included that are virtually...

Great Set, Great Price
This is a great set that includes some of the best cheesy scifi from the 50's ever, several of which I haven't seen in other sets. I especially enjoyed Devil Girl From Mars, Cat Women on the Moon, and Invaders From Mars, but these are all famous or infamous flicks, the selection is spot on every movie is great, the prints are fairly decent, though not remastered, very nice set, great price.

Great Cheap Collection!
This is a better than average cheapie movie pack. These are old black and white flicks which have NOT been remastered. Some prints are a bit grainy, some soundtracks need a boost, but overall I am very happy with this set. These movies are tons of fun.
